Suzy Butz

Suzy Butz, psychotherapist, trauma-informed educator, and former IT consultant with over 20 years of experience in corporate problem-solving and change management. After witnessing the toll that chronic stress and burnout took on high-functioning professionals—herself included—she retrained in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, bringing together science and heart in her approach to healing.

Suzy’s work is grounded in the belief that it’s never too late—or too early—to create the life you actually want. Drawing from rigorous training across mental, physical, and spiritual healing frameworks, she integrates nervous system education, stress science, and somatic practices to support individual transformation. Her own healing journey and passion for decoding neuroscience into everyday language has informed the development of her signature body-based model for stress recovery.

With a deeply compassionate style, Suzy creates spaces that blend psychology, behaviour change, and embodied awareness. She believes that with the right tools, people can move from states of survival toward vitality, clarity, and choice.

Her approach addresses change as a whole-person process—balancing heart, mind, and body. Bringing gentle awareness to past challenges opens the door to agency, self-connection, and future-focused growth.

Based in Wollongong, NSW, Suzy works in-person and online. She also collaborates with other psychotherapists, mentors, emerging practitioners, and speaks regularly about the intersection of stress, trauma, and personal empowerment.

In her spare time, Suzy enjoys walking with her Cobberdog, Sugar, through the Australian Alpine bush, and finds creative joy in cooking, and reading.
