Thomas Smith has served on the Board of the unique Atlanta-based TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, the only nonprofit of its kind assisting breast cancer patients in the Southeast, since 2016.  

He has supported the nonprofit organization in numerous ways, including specific fundraising initiatives, special events, communications, and community relations.  His personal connection to breast cancer is having lost his mother to it when he was growing up in suburban Chicago -  only 7 at the time - and she was 46.
