Emma Trossarelli

Born and raised in Italy at a time when children could run free, climb trees, and play in the dirt without being labelled “weird”, Emma Trossarelli grew up with a natural curiosity and a deep love for animals — especially horses. She later moved to Torino, where she completed her five-year Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising.

After a summer spent trying to work out her next steps, Emma travelled to Los Angeles to visit relatives — a trip that would change her life entirely. She fell in love with the sun, the ocean, and the vibrant energy of the city. A short three-month course in Advertising at UCLA confirmed what she believed was her path, and she soon returned to California to pursue a career in PR.

For eight years, Emma worked in the corporate world, managing Italian client accounts, organising events and trade shows, and living the glittering lifestyle that often comes bundled with public relations. Eventually, the constant pressure took its toll on her physical and mental wellbeing, and she made the courageous decision to walk away — and return to her first love: horses.

Emma trained at the Monty Roberts International Learning Centre, but something still didn’t fit. It wasn’t until she discovered a book by Linda Kohanov — the founder of Eponaquest™ and a pioneer in Equine Facilitated Learning — that everything clicked into place. She completed the full Eponaquest certification programme, finally finding a way of working with horses that resonated with her spirit, her intuition, and her longing for authentic connection.

Just as her new path was beginning to unfold, life called her back to Italy in 2010, forcing her to start again from scratch. Fifteen years later, Emma has built the life she once only dreamed of.

She now runs her own farm, home to a small herd of four horses — three rescues and one gifted to her as a foal, who has since become her greatest teacher — along with two dogs and a community of wild animals that roam freely across the land. This natural, peaceful setting is where Emma offers her work: Equine-Guided Experiences with free horses and coaching sessions using the archetypal wisdom of the Way of the Horse cards, which she has also translated into Italian and are now published.

Emma offers her services in both English and Italian, either in person with the horses or online via video call using the cards. Her work bridges intuition, emotional resonance, and the profound wisdom of the horse — guiding people toward clarity, grounding, healing, and a more authentic way of being.
