Business Health Check Rammis Crotchet
DWC Business Health Check — prepared for Ramya, Rammis Crochet
Your next 30 days at Rammis Crochet
You make three lovely pieces, you spend 5 to 10 hours a week on social media, and you have a simple way for people to order. The work now is turning that time into conversations that end in a sale.
More listings on their own will keep the sales at zero. What changes the result is showing each piece clearly, telling people the price and exactly how to order, and giving them a reason to message you today.
Where you are now
- Three products: amigurumi fox ($30), granny square tote bag ($40), side bag ($20).
- No sales in the past 30 days and no customer history yet.
- Buyers order by WhatsApp message.
- A Facebook business page and no email list.
Your Facebook page
- Add the WhatsApp button to your page, so an interested buyer is one tap from your chat.
- Pin one post to the top of your page showing all three pieces, their prices and how to order.
- Keep every post focused on your crochet work. Each one carries the price and the line “Message me on WhatsApp to order”.
- Put links in the comments, always. Facebook shows posts with links to fewer people.
- List all three pieces on Facebook Marketplace and in two or three local buy and sell groups.
Add Instagram
Open an Instagram business account and link it to your Facebook page in Meta Business Suite. Your Facebook and Instagram messages then arrive in one inbox, so you can answer every buyer from one place.
Always post to Facebook and Instagram separately. Cross-posting from one to the other can glitch and publish the same post twice, which looks chaotic to buyers.
Post one or two times a week on each, then spend the rest of your social media time sharing that content to Stories, groups and Marketplace, and talking to people in the comments.
Photos and Reels
- Photos are always square or 4:5. Resize them in Canva before posting.
- Reels are always 9:16.
- Use a plain background and daylight from a window.
- Take one photo of each piece held in your hand or worn, so buyers see the size.
Your free gift guide
Create a short PDF gift guide for buyers. Show each piece, who it suits as a gift, the colours you can make it in, your Christmas order cut-off date and a small discount on a first order.
Share it with a keyword post: “Comment GIFT and I’ll send you my handmade gift guide.” Set this up in ManyChat, which sends the guide automatically to anyone who comments the word on Facebook or Instagram. Every person who comments becomes a conversation in your messages.
Christmas is your window
Handmade gifts sell from October. Choose your last date for Christmas orders now and repeat it in every post from next week, so people order early and you have time to make each piece.
Build your first list
Start a WhatsApp Channel or broadcast list and invite every person who messages you. This becomes the list you tell first about new pieces, colours and your Christmas deadline.
When your first buyers receive their pieces, ask each one for a photo and one line about what they think. Share these on your page. New buyers trust other buyers.
Your 10-day plan
- Add the WhatsApp button, pin your three-piece post and link Instagram to your page.
- Photograph all three pieces and resize them in Canva.
- Post 1: the fox, with its price and “Message me on WhatsApp to order”.
- List all three pieces on Marketplace and in local buy and sell groups.
- Comment on 20 posts in handmade and local groups. Reply to every message you receive.
- Reel: the fox being made, 15 to 30 seconds.
- Share Post 1 and your Reel to Stories and groups.
- Comment on 20 more posts and reply to every message.
- Post 2: your gift guide keyword post with your Christmas order date.
- Look back: count your enquiries, note which post people responded to most and plan to repeat it.
Next step: Meta ads
Once your posts start bringing in messages, learn Meta ads. Ads on Facebook and Instagram start from a few dollars a day, and you choose your budget, so you can test with a small amount and only spend more when something works.
Start with our free checklist, which walks you through everything to set up before you spend anything.

Free: 100 Ways to Get Publicity Without Social Media
Social media is one route to buyers. This free list gives you 100 more. It is the same set of methods DWC Magazine used to grow from zero readers to readers in 106 countries, with the top 30 highlighted so you know where to begin.
For Rammis Crochet, it means:

- Ways to reach buyers in person and through local groups, markets and word of mouth, where handmade gifts sell well.
- Methods that keep working when a post reaches fewer people than you hoped.
- Ideas you can start this week at no cost, alongside your 10-day plan.
Pick three methods from the top 30, use them for the next 30 days and tell us which one brought you a buyer.
